Stall Day was recently held at Pen Argyl Area High School. Unlike a typical fundraiser with booths and games, Stall Day at Pen Argyl gave students the chance to donate money to “stall,” or delay, their classes.
On this day, students brought in money and donated to their teachers in order to pause class for a few minutes. The more money that was raised, the longer the class was stalled. It was a fun way for students to enjoy a short break while also supporting an important cause.
One member of Four Diamonds Mini-THON® Leadership, Trexler Moore, junior, stated, “I think it’s important for students to get involved because it shows that small actions can make a big difference. By participating, students can help fight childhood cancer.”
All of the money collected went toward Four Diamonds, an organization that helps children and families fighting pediatric cancer. The fundraiser allowed students to make a difference while participating in something exciting during the school day.
Another member of Mini-THON Leadership, Aubrie Marsh, junior, said “I think Pen Argyl’s stall day is so special because I don’t know of any other schools that do it to raise money for this cause.”
Stall Day was a great example of how the Pen Argyl community came together. Even small donations added up quickly, and every dollar helped support families in need. Students were encouraged to participate, donate what they could, and enjoy the fun while supporting a meaningful cause.
