On April 17, Pen Argyl will hold the annual Aevidum Volleyball tournament in the A-wing gymnasium.
This event helps to bring the community together while supporting an important cause. Alexandria Cleffi, President of Aevidum says “We hold the event, in the first place, to break the stigma around mental health.” While raising awareness for mental health the club itself will be raising money.
Participants will go through a series of volleyball matches throughout the evening. The final goal is to make it to the final championship match until you receive the winning prizes.
This event has become a popular event at PAHS, with attendees working hard together to win fun prizes and gain more conversation about mental health.
Lincoln Kuster and Cayden Vishnesky, two of the six winning students from last year's volleyball tournament both expressed that they enjoyed the prizes they received after they won. Vishnesky was confident in knowing that he had all of his teammates ready to work together.
Even though only one team wins at the end of the night, Aevidum members hope to end the night with enjoyment from everyone. While combining sports, teamwork, and the important message about mental health this event becomes more meaningful every year.
