Aevidum, an established club at Pen Argyl Area High School has a new advisor, Elizabeth Ilardi. In her own words she says, “I am excited to take on this role. It’s inspiring to lead a group of students who are dedicated to looking out for one another and I’m eager to continue growing the club’s presence at PAHS.” Aevidum encourages mental health recognition, positivity, and kindness. “It’s about lifting each other up and making PAHS a more supportive place.” The club gives people a chance to make a difference not only in their lives, but to others in and outside of PAHS.
“Aevidum has been part of PAHS for several years, after starting in Pennsylvania as a statewide movement. While it began at Cocalico High School in 2004, Pen Argyl's high school chapter has been active since the 2021-2022 school year,” says Ilardi. To this day Aevidum consists of 49 members with some having higher roles than others. The current Avedium officer roles are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Advisor. The officer positions are run by Alexndria Cleffi as president, Fletcher Marsh as vice president, Treasurer Arseniy Topa, and the two secretaries Nora Marsh and Trexler Moore.

Alivia Leeper, sophomore, hangs up posters around the school for Aevidum. The poster shows different mental health resources for students.
When Alexandria Celffi, the president of Aevidum, was asked about what she was excited to do with her new role she answered with, “I’m most excited to make a difference as president and help shape a stronger version of Aevidum. My goal is to make sure our message of “We have your back” really reaches everyone in our school and community, so people know they’re supported and never alone.” Cleffi has been a part of the club for four years now. She helps with organizing fundraising and leading Aevidum meetings. The role of Vice President is played by Fletcher Marsh. Marsh has been a part of the club since his junior year. He helps alongside Cleffi at meetings and keeps things moving forward. Marsh says, “I have the leadership capabilities to form this club into something great.”
The club collaborates, participates, and organizes many different activities at Pen Argyl Area High School. Cleffi said “Our biggest event is our annual Aevidum Volleyball Tournament that usually consists of 5-6 teams. We sell baked goods at the event, have an information table, and usually give away little Aevidum knick-knacks. "The reasoning for all these events or gestures is mainly for fundraising or making people around the school feel good. That’s why Aevidum holds them." Aevidum also does different fundraisers like the candy gram and duck fundraisers. Throughout the year you will see Aevidum members having hot coco and coffee carts days. These days show appreciation to the teachers at PAHS. The message of “We got your back” is shown through and through again throughout the years, and members of Aevidum aren’t ready to forget that now.
