On October 11, Pen Argyl High School held their annual homecoming festivities. Green Knights, past and present, look forward to this game each year to celebrate their Alma Mater.
The events kicked off a few weeks prior with the nomination of a homecoming court. Things really ramped up with a pre-game pep rally, the crowning of the Homecoming King, the big game, which included the crowning of the Homecoming Queen, and finally, the homecoming dance.
Ten senior students were chosen to be on the homecoming court. These students were Isaiah Adams, Terrell Estes, Collin Geary, Jakob Pietraszkiewicz, Collin Ramsay, Mason Soos, Ricky Adam, Ella Davis, Amber Gallagher, Addison Manning, Ashlyn Oessenick, and Kyla Vazquez.
Many of the other nominees felt the same. Soos said, “I feel good about getting to be on the court with my friends, and having a chance to win.”
The Homecoming King was announced during the pep rally on October 10. Ultimately, Collin Ramsay and Ella Davis took their respective crowns.
This year’s homecoming dance took place on Satruday evening following the game. The rainy afternoon didn’t dampen the spirits of the students in attendance, celebrating a great football season and a wonderful time with friends.
The afternoon before the dance began, the Pen Argyl football team hosted Salisbury for their senior recognition and homecoming game. The Green Knights fell 24-7, but that did not stop them from enjoying their night.
