It is once again that spooky time of year in Pen Argyl, where ghouls, ghosts, and whatever else is trending is unleashed with a bucket and sweet tooth. This meant that Sunday, October 26 was the perfect time for the second annual Trunk or Treat.
For many in the community, trunk or treat can be a highlight of the fall season. Laura Dario, advisor of the Leo Club, said “As Leo’s, we hold events to support the community. and help those in need.”
Though community is the focal point, there was still more for visitors to enjoy. Dario said “this year we are having a Photo booth at the center. I hope it is a big success.”
For an event like Trunk or Treat, it would be almost impossible for one club to do everything, which is why several clubs participated and created trunks for the events. One of these clubs is the SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Club. Angela DiPalo, junior and vice president of SADD Club said “SADD created decorations to spread the word and get more people to show up and celebrate. We have also bought candy for little goodie bags…”
In all, the event was a festive, sugar-filled celebration of community and, more importantly, lots and lots of candy.
